Visa applications

A visa application can take 1 month – 3 months depending on the situation. As travel restrictions are being lifted up, your home institution will be able to give your information to the relevant embassy to support your visa application. If applying for a visa and travelling is possible in your country, your must fulfill the mobility path awarded to you and go to the country of your home institution as soon as possible.

If your visa application gets delayed, do not worry. We are aware this administrative formality can be essential in your mobility and are thus trying to adapt to make sure all students have access to teaching material starting September.

Accommodation

You will be contacted by your M1 home institution.

Erasmus Mundus Scholarship Holders: "When will I receive my scholarship?"

For students who reach their M1 host city on time: you will receive your scholarship upon your arrival, as planned.

For students who will arrive late in their M1 host city: the payment of the monthly contribution to subsistence costs can be granted to a student in his/her country of residence if the student starts the planned mobility with a host institution abroad via distance learning/remote assignments, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. In such case an official and original document issued by a national authority must be provided explicitly proving the force majeure. Only after authorization of the European Commission approval, the monthly contribution to subsistence costs will be granted.
