Erasmus+

Erasmus+ is the EU programme to support education, training, youth and sport in Europe.

Joint Master degrees are part of the Key Action 2 of the programme. It aims to encourage the mobility of students, staff, volunteers, youth workers, and young people. Organisations can arrange to send or receive students and staff to or from participating countries, as well as organise teaching, training, learning and volunteering activities.

Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters (EMJMs)

The Erasmus Mundus programme aims to enhance the quality of higher education and promote dialogue and understanding between people and cultures through mobility and academic cooperation.

Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters (EMJMs) are international study programmes delivered by a consortium of higher education institutions (HEIs) from different countries.  

EMJMs aim to:
•    Foster excellence, innovation, and internationalisation in HEIs
•    Boost the attractiveness of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) and support the EU's external action in the field of higher education
•    Improve the level of competences and skills of Master graduates and their employability
 

History of JEMARO

JEMARO was selected in July 2019 by the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) as an EMJM until 2025. During this period of time, JEMARO was financially supported by the EACEA, and the top selected students could benefit from fully funded scholarships (Erasmus Mundus Scholarships) to support their studies. 

Though the funding period has ended for JEMARO, the EACEA granted the right to maintain the status of "Erasmus Mundus Master" of JEMARO, following its excellent achievements and perspectives (qualified for "Good Practice Flagship"). JEMARO will therefore welcome a new cohort of self-funded students in September 2027 who will become part of the Erasmus Mundus global community. 

The European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA), in the context of managing the Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters, collects and processes the personal data of some of the candidates. In particular, certain data of the scholarship holders and non-scholarship holders is shared with the Agency and treated according to this privacy statement
