I’m Wathek, from Tunisia.
I studied Mechatronics Engineering in Istanbul, Turkey.
I wanted to do a master's degree, JEMARO was the perfect opportunity, robotics in Europe + Japan.
The course I liked the most was Natural Language Processing, it made me realize the connection between our spoken language and the meanings behind it, using engineering tools to expose the underlying complex connections in words.
I work on Persistent attacker avoidance in a multi-robotic system using reinforcement learning
I choose WUT. Warsaw is a very beautiful city and WUT is one of the most prestigious universities to study engineering.
Due to the covid pandemic we could not really get in touch with other students or attend classes physically. In Japan the situation was a bit different as I mainly focused on my research, but I’d say Japan is an experience to live, not a shock but a nice adventure!
I would say the non-academic stuff, visa procedures, settling in and getting adapted to the new environment.
I would probably start working.
JEMARO was a dream come true, despite all the challenges we as first batch faced it was a very nice experience and enriched me on so many levels.
